Smt. Ramkumari College of Veterinary Sciences, located in Mukundgarh Mandi, Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, was established in 2018. The college is managed by the Prof. S. Karan Shiksha Samiti and functions as a private, unaided institution. Its primary objective is to provide quality veterinary education in line with the guidelines of the Veterinary Council of India (VCI), with a strong focus on hands-on training, livestock care, and modern veterinary practices.
The college is situated on State Highway 85 (Jaipur–Pilani Road) in the Nawalgarh Tehsil of Jhunjhunu district. The campus spans approximately 35 acres and is equipped with various academic blocks, laboratories, a veterinary hospital, and a livestock farm complex. The nearest railway station is Dundlod-Mukundgarh, located about 0.4 km from the campus. Nawalgarh railway station is around 13 km away, while Jhunjhunu station is about 29 km from the college. The nearest airport is Jaipur International Airport, approximately 160 to 170 km away by road.
Ramkumari College of Veterinary Sciences has received approval from the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) to commence the B.V.Sc. & A.H. programme from the academic year 2025. The college is affiliated with Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS), Bikaner. It is also recognized by the Department of Animal Husbandry, Government of Rajasthan for conducting the Diploma in Animal Husbandry.
The college offers two main programmes: a 2-year Diploma in Animal Husbandry with an annual intake of 100 students, and the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) course, which commenced in 2025 with an initial intake capacity of 80 students. These programmes are structured to comply with the MSVE 2016 regulations set by the VCI, ensuring a comprehensive and practical approach to veterinary education.
