Dau Shri Vasudev Chandrakr Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya was established on 11th April 2012. It was set up by the Government of Chhattisgarh and functions under the patronage of His Excellency, the Governor of Chhattisgarh, who acts as the Chancellor of the university. It functions autonomously and governs several constituent colleges including the College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry in Anjora, Durg; the College of Dairy Science and Food Technology in Raipur; the College of Fisheries in Kawardha; and the College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry in Bilaspur. These institutions together contribute to the university’s core mission of advancing education and research in animal sciences across the state.
