Overview

Mahatma Jyotiba Fule College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, a premier Institute in higher studies, is a constituent institute of MJF Vidyapeeth Samiti growing as a centre of excellence in providing education and training in veterinary.  It was established in 2007 with the permission of the State Government and started with due permission of University and Veterinary Council of India from the session 2009-10.  “Mahatma Fule” Founder for “Education to All”, Saint Shri S.L. Tanwar, Founder-Chairman & Social Reformer and “Guruji Hari Kishan Saini” Educationist for their inspirations and establishment of this Society/ College.

MJFCVAS is situated in the sprawling area surrounded by natural,  pollution free serene beauty along with backdrop for great educational vision.  The College is located at around 29 km from Jaipur Railway Station on National Highway 52, Chomu Bypass, Jaipur- Sikar road, Harota, Jaipur (Rajasthan) having excellent environment and easily accessible through various means of transport from all over the world.

Mahatma Jyotiba Fule College of Veterinary and Animal Science is permanently affiliated to Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bikaner (RAJUVAS).  It is recognized by the Government of India, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, New Delhi.  MJFCVAS is recognized by the Veterinary Council of India, New Delhi for the intake capacity of 100 seats of B.V.Sc.&A.H. Course. 

Mahatma Jyotiba Fule College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences is a reputed institute for BVSc&AH, apart from which the college also offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Doctoral and Diploma courses in Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Technology and Fisheries.  The course is available in Full Time mode.  BVSc. Students can choose this program to excel and pursue a career in Veterinary Science.  The Institute has highly trained & experienced faculty who efficiently deliver this program. The Course offered by the Institute is for total of 80 students.

Mahatma Jyotiba Fule College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences has got the infrastructure and space for teaching departments which are much than the present regulations of the Veterinary Council of India, New Delhi.  The College focuses on ensuring that the students acquiring academic qualifications at the College campus emerge as good citizens who contribute to the growth and development of society and nation.  And to that end it provides excellent infrastructure and facilities.  It has state-of-the-art buildings with modern Lecture halls, well equipped Laboratories, separate in-campus Hostel for Girls and Boys, well-stocked Library, Medical centre, Multi-purpose Hall, VCC, Play grounds, Common facilities and excellent facilities for Clinical and Farm practices.  MJFCVAS also provides various extracurricular activities such as sports competitions, cultural events etc., which help the students develop their overall personality.  It for the students & staff member's for health care.  The college also conducts training programs for personality development.

The MJFCVAS faculty is dedicated with its very well defined aims to the emergence of animal industries as a full-fledged agri-business for enhancing the economy and generating mass employment particularly in rural areas.  The hard work and dedication put in by management and the devotion and enthusiasm of staff and faculty members combined with the zeal of students have allowed the College to scale up the new heights.

 MJFCVS prepares the veterinary workforce with the scientific knowledge and skills required to meet social needs through the protection of animal health, relief of animal suffering, conservation of animal resources, promotion of public health, and advancement of veterinary knowledge. The College has own two live stock farm complex as per norms of VCI, Well functional LFC is available with campus.
